LOONFEATHER PRESS is a not-for-profit small press located in Bemidji, Minnesota. It was founded in 1979 to
establish a regional literary journal that would include good writing by both emerging and established authors. In 1988 the
press began adding longer works to its publications, including original paperbacks, limited editions, chapbooks, and a collection
of letterpress broadsides. Many of our titles have been the author’s first published book. We have won a Minnesota Book
Award and had three nominations. Two recent books, "The Rhubarb King" in 2007 and "Breaking the Glass"
in 2009, were finalists in the Midwest Independent Publishers Association book awards. "Fair Creatures of an Hour"
was a 2010 Next Generation Indie Book Awards finalist in poetry.
